What is the Santa Storybook Experience?
The Santa Storybook is an experience located in New Braunfels that can be your once a year family tradition. Think of visting a Disney attraction deisgned by a professional storytelling photographer made specifically with your family in mind.
Your time with us doesn't feel like "photos with Santa" or your typical photoshoot. This is a real time visit with Santa. The idea is to create your own Christmas story that your kids are the stars of.
We go into each time slot creating an album as we go. We generally want to hand you a storybook album that you can hand down from one generation to the next.
What is the Santa set like?
As the door opens you are transported out of Texas and onto an old street that leads up to the front door of what will look like Ebenezer Scrooge's accounting firm.
You can expect snow, a full Santa set, big bay window, mantle and fireplace, a naughty and nice list, a Christmas book reading, milk and cookies, Christmas puzzles, decorating the tree, games, family portrait opportunities and lots of opened ended conversation for the kids with some humor mixed in for the adults and a whole lot more.
Kids will talk about this for weeks.
What should we wear for our Santa Storybook Experience?
The idea take places in dreamland so if you want to complete the role, my suggestion is light colored or matching pajamas or night gowns. Mom and Dad should come prepared for a few signature family shots throughout the experience.
Matching or themed pajama sets are always the best.
Where Does My Reservation Fee Go?
For 2025 ONLY:
Your reservation fee has options:
- Option #1, (10) 8x12 digital files
- Option #2, the fee can go straight toward your product order.
This fee can be used for storybook albums, heirloom wall art to holiday cards, ornaments, and fine art prints, you’ll have beautiful ways to relive your magical day with Santa, year after year. You will have to come in and choose your images for either option.
Can More Than One Family Join the Fun?
Every Santa Storybook Experience is like a little Christmas adventure, carefully crafted to follow a magical order, capturing one family’s story from “hello” to “farewell.” When the cousins want to be involved or the grandparents want to bring the grandchildren, we need more time to make sure everyone gets their own genuine specialized storybook experience.
You’ll need to choose back to back time slots, so each family gets their signature storybook.
Can I Bring My Pet?
oh yes! Santa has a soft spot for furry friends. Pets need to be on a leash or in a carrier until it’s picture time. To help create a more calm atmosphere please bring a favorite toy or a yummy treats to help them feel right at home in Santa’s studio.
Do to allergies of some guests this options will be for specific dates only.
What If My Child Feels Shy Around Santa?
We are on it! This is where Santa is the greatest! With a private 20-minute session, there’s plenty of time for the loudest crier to find comfort in the space. Santa and our photographer have a few tricks to guide children to safe and happy place. The whole family is welcome, bring the grandparents and the new grandbaby. This can be as special as you want it.
If you think your child might be shy or cried last year, let us know in your registration questionnaire. That way, Santa can greet them in just the right way with a soft, “Merry Christmas” instead of a big, magical, booming “Ho-ho-ho!”

If you are an out-of-town guest, please email us prior to your session and we will preschedule arrangements for you to view your images the following day after your session.

The Santa Storybook experience is a highly specialized, limited event with a private studio focused on an authentic Santa experience to remember. We handcraft our sets, our storybook approach we use and the design of it, combined that with a little fine art editing and our high-resolution files we use for print are priced to reflect the time, artistry, and production costs involved.
We offer digital-only collections for families who want to archive or print their portraits themselves:
- All Digital Files | $3500 (includes 50% off any printed products)
- 20 Digital Files | $2,500
- 10 8x12 Digital Files | $300 (2025 only)
Many families choose these when they want an archive of their portraits for future generations or to create their own printed pieces as well as collages.
If you are purchasing wall art or an album, we will include high-resolution files with limited printing rights so you can continue family traditions such as designing your own holiday cards. This is our way of honoring your traditions while preserving the integrity and value of the artwork we create.
