PET PORTRAITS AND WHY ARE THEY IMPORTANT?
It’s more than just taking pictures of a pet and their human; it’s about freezing moments of mutual trust, affection, and companionship. The way a dog looks up to their owner, the shared smiles, or the gentle touch can all tell a story of love and understanding.
This bond is important to capture because it highlights the emotional depth of the relationship. Pets are not just animals; they’re family members, and these photos become cherished memories that reflect a shared life. For the owner, they preserve moments of joy, loyalty, and companionship that often go beyond words. For the dog, these photos can symbolize their place in the family, their comfort, and the safety they feel in the presence of their human.

A BOND LIKE NO OTHER
HUMANS AND THEIR BEST FRIEND
THE INVESTMENT
A great photograph will convey not just the physical attributes of the subjects, but also the intangible aspects of the relationship—the trust in the dog's eyes, the warmth of the owner's hand, or the joy in their shared activities. This kind of photography helps to immortalize the bond in a way that words can't fully express, offering both the owner and the dog an enduring reminder of their connection.
My name is Gabriel Calder and growing up I've had my fair share of amazing pups. In 2014 is when I was introduced to life with a rescue dog. Then another rescue dog and another rescue dog. One of my pups, Bailey, is getting old so she is the motivation to pick up the camera again to capture a bond between you and your furry companions.
This session will be super fun for you and your pup if you allow it to be. I have the best locations here in Texas Hill Country: from rivers, to hills, to sunset and sunrises. From here, to Fredericksburg, all the way to Big Bend National Park if you wanted to.
The session we plan will be relaxed as we play and explore the environment around us. It won't even feel like a portrait session 90% of the time.
We will do whatever we need to do to make your dog happy.
