When you hear the word "elopement" what do you think of?
Do you think of something cheap, quick, and/or secretive?
It can be.
The definition of the word elopement has changed over the years. Are you a couple that doesn't like to be the center of attention? Do you not like an "all eyes on you experience?" Maybe you want a day focused on you without having to entertain 200 other guests? Maybe you want something quick? Maybe you want a longer adventure? Maybe you want just a couple close friends and family members when you say your vows.
The word elopement carries a different meaning in 2020. The word has evolved to allow a less stressful wedding approach.
Just because your wedding isn't 200 people doesn't mean it is any less important. An elopement is an intentionally small intimate authentic wedding experience that has a true focus on the two of you.
This day's intention is literally planned around what the two of you want to do and not planned with having others comfort in mind.
This is truly a "Just Us" Experience.
The approach we take here at Texas Elope is photography first and the love tales one day you will be leaving behind.
We can do quick if you want.
We can do secretive if you want.
What do you like to do?
Where do you like to go?
If you could wake up and look out the window where would you want to look at?
What is the first smell you want to smell from the kitchen (that you don't have to cook)?
An elopement has details that truly matter, not just chicken or beef because that is what the venue offers.
What is the location that means the most to the two of you?
Our studio style approach is 95% photojournalism, natural light, true to the naked eyed color feel, and the last 5% is our studio hot sauce. Our hot sauce is our creative lighting. This is THAT SUNSET OR SUNRISE IMAGE you will stare at on your wall everyday for the rest of your life. This is where it all started. This is the day of your anniversary for the rest of your life!
This is that statement photo: LANDSCAPE + LOVE = EPIC PHOTO. We create an adventurous love story with stand out landscapes highlighted with our creative lighting for a more dramatic feel.
As a photographer that is creating a story you will look back on, I think your elopement is more important than just a couple of hours and should be created, planned, and documented as the best day of your life. This day should be an exact representation of who the two of you are as individuals and what the two of you like to do together as one.
The Texas adventures I would direct you toward would include a hike/picnic to a grassy grotto along the Guadalupe River. It could be a sunset hike along the shore of Canyon Lake. It could be hike to the top of Mount Bonnell in Austin at sunset to name just a few. Are you entertaining some of these ideas? Would like to hear how we can tailor your own adventure to you and your personality? Let's chat and see what we can come up with!

An Experience Creator or Trusted Adviser is what we are.
My professional advice: The full day elopement experience is the way you want to begin this chapter of your story with. You are not with us for the full day, however we do involve the sunrise and sunset. Don't worry... we siesta if you end up choosing both.
This is the best day of your life.
It should be documented as such.
An elopement right before sunset is the most commonly photographed time for this type of event. At this time you will have to contend with everyone else that has already been enjoying their life for hours depending on where you chose.
Texas and Texas Hill Country to be exact is tailor-made for elopements + adventure, vow renewals and intimate weddings.
