When you think of South Padre Island your first thought is, the beach!
I want to elope on the beach! That is where I want to get married. If you are from out of state and visiting SPI during peak season (Memorial Day thru Labor Day) you will not be the only one on the beach anywhere on the island. The beach will be packed with families in the background trying to photo bomb you. If you need to be married on the beach my suggestion would be a weekday. A wedding planner can help with that. When you are looking for a photographer hire a storyteller. Unless that is all you want is literally just a few "Pictures on the Beach". This is your wedding day love story! Your unique tale! This story should be told with elegance and beauty! South Padre Island has some very pretty points that the wedding planners will not direct you to. To them you are a quick setup on the beach. Not an Epic tale of love between two people captured with the best South Padre Island has to offer.
Do you really want an elopement on the beach? Can it be the top of sand dune? Perhaps overlooking a sunset? Do you want something more boutique and private that will still include amazing photos on the beach? If you would entertain some of these ideas lets chat and see what we can come up with!
The Gulf of Mexico is an incredible place for an elopement adventure.
South Padre Island has a ton of beauty that you can see as you crossover the bridge however there is a lot of hidden beauty a visitor may or may not know about. Having a local creative thinker bringing your custom story to life is key to having the best elopement experience that South Padre Island has to offer.
A planner is most likely going to suggest a beach access at this time blah blah blah. This access will have the best light blah blah blah. There may or may not be a ton of people super close to your archway and table setup. Families may or may not be in the background chasing their children. It will be a genuine island beach wedding/elopement experience that is for sure.
We are talking about the photographer knowledge for your wedding story. Lighting knowledge and control. Story composition and unique locations. Our specialist put a little more thought into a story that fits your elopement vision.

Sunrise is the perfect time to begin a full day of storytelling fun and excitement! Here on South Padre Island your elopement doesn't have to be just saying your vows on the beach.
This is the best day of your life.
It should be documented as such.
A beach elopement right before sunset is the most commonly photographed time for this type of event. At this time you will have to contend with everyone else that has already been enjoying the beach for hours.
Our studio is equipped to offer a more private and intimate storytelling style of elopement or wedding ceremony to begin this chapter in your journey.
We are setup with (2) rooms and our backyard oasis. One of the interior rooms is for the groom to be and the other one is for the bride to be. We have a series of signature shots from getting ready, the details, 1st look and the portraits. This is all shot in black and white, real classic and full of detail. We also have a wall of mirrors that is a blast to play with! This approach is great for wall art collections. Get the whole family involved. Then we move outside into the oasis for the ceremony, the traditional formal photos and our signature creative shots. Then depending on which direction you want to take your celebration, we will follow to capture every moment.
Here are some samples of the approach we want to take.
South Padre Island is tailor-made for elopements, vow renewals and intimate weddings.
Our photography studio property was designed and brought to life by a passionate storytelling wedding & portrait photographer.
Our studio location specializes in 1 and 2 hour storytelling elopement experiences for couples or groups up to 10 guests. Our studio and backyard oasis is the starting point of your story. This is where the ceremony, the formal pictures, and a couple of creative shots will take place before we all head out to continue the story.
